The Power Of A Little Wallpaper - Part II

Okay...so...I guess I inspired myself with my last post and got really excited about wallpaper, so I had to do a part two to The Power of a Little Wallpaper. I know you believe me (...that wallpaper can really transform a space), but I just wanted to show you a few more great photos that illustrate the point.

If you want to truly get what I mean, take a look at these beautiful rooms. Then just imagine the walls painted with a triple coat (…well...in some cases...maybe a quadruple coat…) of white paint. Most of them would be pretty lack luster in comparison.

(Above) I was really attracted to the gray and white wallpaper but the accessorizing and romantic touches really made this room sing for me...so I had to include all three photos. :-)

It's amazing how much wallpaper can breath new life into a space!

This pic almost looks like someone did a little grade school penmanship practice on the walls. Despite what it looks like though, this really is wallpaper. ...gives me some ideas...hmmmm...

I really like the shabby chic appeal of this photo. While almost everyone would enjoy a fireplace like this, I must admit the wallpaper kicks it up a knotch.

As you're planning your next decorating project, I hope this post inspires you to inject The Power of a Little Wallpaper into your next Swooning Space!

Happy Saturday! :-)

The Power of A Little Wallpaper

This room is so light an inviting it could be a wonderful, cozy master bedroom or even a soothing guest retreat. I'm just not sure if your guests would ever go home. The interesting thing though is, if you strip away the wall paper, the room wouldn't be nearly as interesting (...at least not to me). It goes to show how powerful wallpaper can be in transforming a room from "fine, nice, decent, or okay" to a "WOW" space that you can mentally transport yourself to (...just like I did the minute I first laid eyes on it).

Design on a Dime

It's amazing how much just one room can cost to decorate / redecorate these days. It's even more amazing how little you can spend to recreate the same look for less. All it takes is a little time and creativity. Take this nook for instance. With a few dollar store pictures frames, a variety of twigs from your backyard, a bench for Craigslist, a little elbow greese and some paint, you've got a unique look that can be accomplished for as little as $50.
